Winthrop Youth Soccer

Fall In Town 2021 Program:

Instructional League Kindergarten
Instructional League Grades 1-2
Junior League Grades 3-6

Season Dates: September 12 to October 31, excluding Columbus Day weekend

Times: Games on Sundays, times TBD.

Fees: $125 per player, not to exceed $300 per family.

All players will be placed on In Town teams coached by parent coaches. In addition to team coach, Instructional League (Grades K-2) will provide a Challenger Sports Coach who will hold practices at the start of each session to work on developing skills.

Players in grades 3-6 registered for Fall 2021 Travel (games on Saturdays) are eligible to register for the In Town Junior League (games on Sundays) at no additional cost. Please email if interested.

We are always in the need for coaches, so please indicate your availability when you register.

To enroll in Instructional League Kindergarten, your child must be age-eligible to enter Winthrop's Kindergarten program in the Fall 2021 (5 years of age on September 1st).

Soccer cleats and shin guards are required (we have some inventory of used equipment, please contact to inquire for a specific size).

Spring Travel 2021 Program:

Season Dates: April 10 to June 13

Grades 3 to PG (grade 12+2), Boys and Girls Leagues.

Travel games will be played on Saturdays (Grades 3-8) or Sundays (Grades 9 and up to 2 years after HS graduation). Weekly practices will be set by team coaches. 

Fees: $125 per player, not to exceed $300 per family. A late fee of $25 will apply for Travel players after the registration deadline of February 7th.

Teams will be formed on February 7th. Travel teams may only be submitted to the ECYSA travel league if they have a minimum number of players. We therefore encourage you to register your players as soon as possible. Extended registration after February 7th is subject to available capacity on teams already formed.

Teams will be coached by parent volunteers. Please consider coaching or helping to coach your child's team. Commitment for the Travel program includes traveling to games on weekends as well as conducting one or two practices during the week.

Cleats and shin guards are required. Travel uniform purchasing information will be available closer to the start of the season. A digital picture of your player will be required to make their player pass - please email a headshot to

Adult attendance in addition to adults directly involved in the program will be restricted to one adult per player. Social distancing and face coverings will be required for all coaches, players and spectators.
