Update - February 27, 2021
Spring In Town 2021 registration is open... Register here before March 31st 2021.
Spring In Town 2021 Program:
Season Dates: May 2 to June 13, excluding Memorial Day weekend
Grades K (U6): Sundays 9 am to 10:30 am.
Grades 1/2 (U8): Sundays 11 am to 12:30 pm.
Fees: $125 per player, not to exceed $300 per family. Registrations will not be accepted after April 10.
The structure will be different this year in order to safely and efficiently run the program. We will not have preselected teams but will run groups at the same time each week.
Official Challenger Sports Coach will be running sessions working with players on building skills for the first 45 minutes of each session. Group will break for a scrimmage with a parent coach and high school soccer refs for the second half of the session.
Soccer cleats and shin guards are required (we have some inventory of used equipment, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire for a specific size). There will be many changes and safety protocol requirements necessary to conduct sessions safely. NOTE: violations of safety protocols may result in the suspension of an individual player, spectator, or cancelation of the entire season.
Kindergarten players must be eligible to enter school in Winthrop in the Fall (5 years of age by September 1st 2021).
See you on the field! We're looking forward to Spring!
Spring Travel 2021 Program:
Season Dates: April 10 to June 13
Grades 3 to PG (grade 12+2), Boys and Girls Leagues.
Travel games will be played on Saturdays (Grades 3-8) or Sundays (Grades 9 and up to 2 years after HS graduation). Weekly practices will be set by team coaches.
Fees: $125 per player, not to exceed $300 per family. A late fee of $25 will apply for Travel players after the registration deadline of February 7th.
Teams will be formed on February 7th. Travel teams may only be submitted to the ECYSA travel league if they have a minimum number of players. We therefore encourage you to register your players as soon as possible. Extended registration after February 7th is subject to available capacity on teams already formed.
Teams will be coached by parent volunteers. Please consider coaching or helping to coach your child's team. Commitment for the Travel program includes traveling to games on weekends as well as conducting one or two practices during the week.
Cleats and shin guards are required. Travel uniform purchasing information will be available closer to the start of the season. A digital picture of your player will be required to make their player pass - please email a headshot to email@example.com.
Please register as soon as possible here.
Adult attendance in addition to adults directly involved in the
program will be restricted to one adult per player. Social distancing and face
coverings will be required for all coaches, players and spectators.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Thank you for supporting Winthrop Youth Soccer!
